Summit Racing to Sponsor EDRS European Drag Racing Series

Summit Racing is stepping up its support of drag racing across the pond by becoming the sponsor of the EDRS European Drag Racing Series beginning this season. Operated by Speedgroup, the Summit Racing EDRS Series is the biggest drag racing series in Europe. Over 800 teams from 10 countries participated in 2016.

Summit Racing has been part of European drag racing for several years, first as the sponsor of 10-time FIA European Pro Stock Champion Jimmy Alund and then as a contingency sponsor for EDRS for the 2016 season.

“Stepping up to the series sponsorship is the perfect opportunity to expand Summit Racing’s support for the EDRS racers,” said Jim Greenleaf, Summit’s Motorsport and Events Manager. “We experienced an incredibly positive response to our participation in the contingency program. We are impressed with Speedgroup and the vision they have for the future of drag racing in Europe. Summit Racing looks forward to being a part of the program for many years to come.”

The 2017 Summit Racing EDRS European Drag Racing Series will feature 18 events at 13 tracks in five European countries. Racers compete—and compete hard—in the following classes:
