ACOM 2000A Automatic HF Linear Amplifiers

ACOM 2000A Automatic HF Linear Amplifiers are the world's most advanced amplifiers designed specifically for hams. These amplifiers were the first to include fully-automatic tuning and sophisticated digital-control capabilities. ACOM's revolutionary 2000A amplifiers deliver maximum legal power in all modes and operate on all amateur HF bands 160 to 10 meters. Be sure to read the SPECIAL Note, below.

These amplifiers follow your transceiver's band and frequency automatically in far less than a second. No special cables are required: Just a "dit" on CW or "AHH" on SSB is enough for instant band and band segment changes.

ACOM 2000A amps break every amateur band into multiple frequency segments. The user can store up to ten (10) sets of tuning adjustments for every frequency segment - allowing individual settings for multiple antennas on each band. By completely eliminating time-consuming tune-up procedures, ACOM 2000A linear amplifiers give contesters a real edge.

At the core of the ACOM 2000A is a classic HF amplifier design that employs two matched 4CX800A high-performance ceramic-metal tetrodes for maximum efficiency. ACOM uses these rigorously tested tubes with today's most advanced digital control technology to create an amplifier with outstanding performance, features and reliability.

Measured third and fifth order IMD are typically 40dB and 45dB down, respectively. Typical harmonic emissions are as low as -55dBc (second) and below -70dBc (for third and above). Thus, probability of QRM, BCI or TVI is dramatically minimized.

ACOM's 2000A remote diagnostic features and modular design ease fault isolation and repair. The protection system makes damaging one of these amplifiers difficult. Information on the 12 most recent protection trips is stored in an INFO BOX for remote diagnostics via phone line, PC, and Internet.

Full break-in (QSK) is based on a built-in vacuum relay. Transmit/receive switching sequence is secured by a dedicated microprocessor.
