ACOM 600S Solid State HF + 6 Meter Amplifiers

ACOM 600S Solid State HF/6-Meter Amplifiers are state-of-the art linear amplifiers that cover all amateur bands from 1.8 through 54 MHz.

These amps provide more than 600 W output power (PEP or continuous carrier modes). Working parameters of the amplifier are indicated on a multi-function, high-resolution color display. Amplifier control is accomplished with only six buttons on the front panel or directly by CAT interface from the transceiver, or remotely by RS232 interface.

ACOM 600S amplifiers are compatible with all transceiver models available on the market. They do not need any special signals; "ground on transmit" (PTT) and 15 to 20 watts of RF drive power is sufficient. The overall operation of ACOM 600S amplifiers is extremely simplified. Screen menus are intuitive and easy to follow and no special skill is required from the operator when changing frequency bands. Even if not connected with a CAT interface, the amplifier monitors the frequency of the input signal through the built-in frequency counter and automatically switches bands.

These amplifiers take care of themselves during operation, due to the continuously-working protection circuits in all modes. The operator can digitally monitor more than 10 parameters concerning the working conditions of the amplifier. Detailed data (55 parameters) about each of the last 28 hard-fault protection trips is stored in the amplifier's nonvolatile memory.

Broadband input matches to the transceiver over the entire range of 1.8-54 MHz.

ACOM 600S amplifiers are perfect for DXpeditions and field operation. They are extremely compact and employ light-weight construction thanks to the built-in switching-mode power supply. They operate on an extended mains voltage range (93-130VAC and 170-265VAC) by changing only the main fuses - no internal switching is required. Be sure to read the SPECIAL Note, below.

Perfect electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) exists with other equipment in the ham shack; highly sensitive receivers, computers and other amplifiers. These amplifiers exceed the standard EMC requirements due to the use of PFC and built-in additional radio-frequency filters.

Note: DX Engineering attaches the AC mains connector on each and every ACOM amplifier we receive. Due to power efficiencies we outfit each amplifier with a NEMA standard 6-15P 240 volt plug. During and after your amplifier's warranty period, DX Engineering will provide service and repair for ACOM amplifiers. A repair fee will be charged for services outside the warranty period.
