Overview
Carlson Heavy-Duty 25G Hinged Tower Base Plate
Carlson Heavy-Duty 25G Hinged Tower Base Plates share the same bolt down and leg pattern as Rohn and American Tower 25G series towers, allowing any 25G tower to be tilted up or down for easy maintenance. Made in the USA to accurate tolerances for a smooth and secure fit, the all-steel construction of these extremely heavy-duty hinged base plates, along with Thermal Diffusion Galvanizing, provides a secure foundation for your tower project. Engineers thoughtfully designed all connecting points for these heavy-duty hinged base plates with larger 1/2in. hinge bolts, instead of the standard 3/8in. bolts and the tilt plate and gussets are 3/8in. thick instead of 1/4in. The mounting pegs are solid steel and recessed into the base plate for added strength. The layout of the 3 pegs is 11.25in. center-to-center and the peg diameter is 1.060in. to match the 25G tower leg dimension of 1.080in., allowing .020in. of clearance. A Professional Engineer study of this design revealed these base plates are approximately 2 times the strength of their competitors. For bracketed or guyed towers.
Key Features:
Same base plate bolt down pattern as Rohn or American 25G shown below
The tilt plate is 3/8in. steel as compared to the competitor’s 1/4in.
The hinge bolts are 1/2in. as compared to competitor’s 3/8in.
The gussets are also 3/8in. instead of 1/4in. or less
The mounting pegs are solid, recessed into the tilt plate and welded on both sides
The spacing of the 3 tower leg pegs are accurately placed at 11.25in.
The pegs are 1.060in. in diameter to match the 25G inner diameter of 1.080in. with 0.020in. clearance
The whole assembly is baked in a zinc thermal diffusion process for ideal corrosion resistance
Made in the USA to accurate tolerances for a smooth and secure fit
