CHAMELEON ANTENNA Standard Portable HF Loop Antennas

Newly upgraded CHA F-LOOP Standard Antennas are ideal for RV/camping, hotels, apartments, condominiums, homeowners associations, deed restrictions and CCRs (Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions), Short-Wave Listening (SWL) and other places where it is not feasible to erect a multi-band wire or vertical antenna.

CHA F-LOOP antennas are comprised of a three-foot diameter LMR-400 flexible radiator, an aluminum Faraday loop, a proprietary takedown hardline feeder section that minimizes SWR variation, a specially designed tuning unit, and coaxial feedline - all of which fit in the supplied military-style MOLLE bag.

The CHA F-LOOP does not require a ground-plane and doesn't need to be mounted up high. Do not use an antenna tuner or coupler, as it may cause you to mistune the antenna. The front panel of the tuning unit includes the tuning quadrant indicator.

There is no significant improvement in performance when a small loop is raised to great heights; all that matters is that the loop is positioned clear of objects in the immediate area and the desired direction of radiation. CHA F-LOOP Standard Antennas were designed with weight, durability, portability, versatility and cost in mind. The F-LOOP can be assembled and operated under 3 minutes.

The Faraday coupling loop is made of a formed-aluminum bar which is supported by the proprietary screw-together hardline feeder. Their specially and uniquely designed hardline feeder prevents SWR fluctuations. The base of the unit is equipped with an anodized aluminum plate for tripod mounting and for table top stability.

The F-LOOP antenna is fed from the rear of the unit by an SO-239 with coaxial cable. The provided 12 ft. coaxial cable is equipped with an integral RFI choke that will prevent or eliminate any possible RFI problems.

The unassembled antenna comes in a high quality MOLLE tactical bag for easy carry and storage.

Easy tuning:

1 - Peak signal in receive mode with the tuning knob.
2 - Adjust for minimum SWR in transmit
3 - Repeat these steps whenever changing frequency.
