DX Engineering Transmit Four-Square Control Consoles

DX Engineering transmit four-square control consoles are designed as replacements for the DX Engineering TFS4 Series Hybrid four-square controllers. They have four-directional momentary contact switches, OMNI switch, and four green LEDs to show the systems' current transmit and receive direction.

Additional features include:

* One green LED illuminates to indicate which single direction has been selected, all four LEDs are illuminated when OMNI is selected
* Momentary contact push button switches below each LED select a single direction, providing instant switching of directions without rotating a switch through unwanted positions
* White notepad blocks for writing the direction corresponding to each switch position
* Omnidirectional OMNI switch: when OMNI is pushed, all four antennas are selected to produce an omnidirectional antenna pattern and all four LEDs are illuminated; when pushed again, the controller will return to the last selected direction
* While in the OMNI mode, a new direction may be selected immediately by pushing its corresponding switch
* LED brightness may be set by pushing and holding the OMNI button for several seconds; the LEDs will begin to slowly flash and display four brightness settings (1 through 4); you can select the brightness appropriate for your setting
* Power-on relay cycling: during power-on, the first and last LED will blink for approximately 6 seconds; during this time, all of the TFS4 relays in the system are being turned on and off to ensure the relays are kept in peak operating performance; this is a user-selectable feature
* Hot switching lockout: when the radio signal is grounded, you are in transmit mode; if you press any of the pushbutton switches, the LED will flash and the unit will not switch positions until you go from transmit to receive mode; this avoids hot switching
* AMP circuit is capable of switching up to 75 V open circuit (receiving) and can safely sink 500 mA maximum current when pulled to ground (transmit). This will handle most modern amplifiers; if you are using a linear amplifier, the keying line should be routed through them. If you switch antenna positions while transmitting, they wait until you stop transmitting before switching antennas. Once the controllers start to switch antenna relays, amplifier keying signals are inhibited for 30 ms to ensure safe antenna relay transfer
