DX Engineering Switch Pad 8-B Transceiver Memory Keypads are an eight-button external keypad, inspired by the popular DM2RM design, that provides convenient access to voice and CW memory keying functions on compatible Icom® and Kenwood® transceivers.

By placing memory control at your fingertips, the Switch Pad 8-B eliminates the need to navigate keyer menus on the transceiver's touchscreen display. During contesting and other demanding operating activities, this allows the main screen to remain dedicated to critical operating information while providing faster, more efficient access to stored messages. The keypad also offers a simple standalone solution for memory keying control without requiring computer integration or external software.

For compatible Kenwood transceivers, the Switch Pad 8-B offers even greater versatility. In addition to memory keyer control, any of up to 99 programmable transceiver functions can be assigned to the keypad's eight buttons, as outlined in the transceiver's operating manual.

Switch Pad 8-B Improved Features

• External Icom/Kenwood transceiver selection switch—no need to open the keypad and move internal jumpers

• Includes a detachable transceiver cable with 2.5 mm and 3.5 mm male connectors for easy connection to supported radios

The Switch Pad 8-B keypad conveniently connects to the designated 3.5 mm port on the following transceivers:

• Icom IC-705, IC-7610, IC-7850 and IC-7851

• Kenwood TS-890S and TS-990S
