DX Engineering Telescoping Tubing Compression Clamp Kits

DX Engineering Telescoping Tubing Compression Clamp Kits are designed to be used with the high quality pultruded fiberglass tubing available from DX Engineering.

These innovative stepped-size clamshell-type clamps provide a positive, firm grip on the two different size fiberglass tubes that telescope, or slide together. These DX Engineering Compression Clamp Kits are much stronger than lever clamps or hose clamps alone; preventing telescoping tubing slippage.

DX Engineering's special compression clamps are available in two kits covering tubing sizes from 2.75 to 0.50 inches outside diameter. The DXE-TCC-KIT1 kit comes with six custom designed 2-piece clamshell type clamps and twelve stainless steel band clamps. These kits are sized to fit the seven fiberglass tubes ranging in size from 2.00 to 0.50 in. outside diameter.

Depending on your application, the length of a fiberglass tubing assembly can easily be made shorter by telescoping the fiberglass tubing sections inward, or by removing extra fiberglass tubing sections. Fiberglass Tubing is used to make various vertical antennas, or may be used to support simple, light-duty wire antennas.

Amateur Radio Operators love to experiment with antennas and fiberglass tubing and these clamp kits provide an ideal starting point. Please remember that fiberglass tubing is not a mast designed to support large antennas, nor should it be treated as a tower support. When installed, a stack of fiberglass tubing should be properly guyed. Add DX Engineering Guy Rings and Antenna Support Rope to round out your wire antenna project.
