The boom for the 5-9 PLUS consists of three sections of 50mm (1.97 in.) square by 2mm (0.079 in.) thick aluminum tubing for improved distribution of weight and reduced wind resistance. A heavy-duty mast plate of 150mm by 150mm (5.9 by 5.9 in.) that’s 10mm (0.4 in.) thick mounts the boom to the mast with U-bolts.

EAntenna 5-9 PLUS antennas do not use traps, loading coils or linear loads that increase losses and reduce efficiency. The location and spacing of all elements has been carefully designed to eliminate negative interactions between bands. Additionally, unlike interleaved mono-banders sharing a boom, the active elements of the 5-9 PLUS log cell functions without the degradation of interspersed out-of-band parasitic elements.
