Elk Antennas 5-Element Dual Band 2M/70cm Log Periodic Dipole Array Antennas deliver reliable VHF/UHF performance for both portable and fixed-station operation in a compact 24-inch package. The 5-element LPDA design provides coverage of the 2-Meter and 70cm amateur bands without requiring a duplexer, making it an excellent choice for satellite communications, direction finding, emergency communications, simplex operation, and general portable use. All models include an integrated handle for handheld operation, and the antenna is fed from the front of the boom, with the feedline connection point indicating the direction of maximum radiation.

Built on a 24-inch corrosion-resistant aluminum-alloy boom, available with either an uncoated or black powder-coated finish, the 2M/440L5 features stainless-steel hardware throughout for long-term durability. The antenna delivers 6.6 dB (8.7 dBi) gain on 2 meters and 7.0 dB (9.0 dBi) gain on 70cm, with a 20+ dB front-to-back ratio to help reduce unwanted signals from the backside of the antenna. Additional features include a choice of SO-239 or Type-N feedpoint connectors, and power handling of up to 200 watts on 2 meters and 100 watts on 70cm. The 2M/440L5 also performs well on GMRS and MURS frequencies, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of VHF/UHF communications applications.
