Ciro Mazzoni introduces the STEALTH LOOP - It looks like abstract art, but it is a compact HF transmitting antenna that offers automatic tuning continuous coverage from 6.6 to 29.8 MHz when interfaced with a supported HF transceiver. It handles 125 watts and tunes to a 1.3:1 SWR. This fantastic antenna is only 54 inches long, 19.6 inches high and 10.2 inches wide and weighs only 15.4 lbs. It is made with a very rugged 60/60 aluminum alloy and powder coated in a dark green finish that is perfect for stealth operations. The STEALTH LOOP is an excellent portable and stealth HF antenna for 40 through 10 meters. It is intended to be set on a metal table or bench. It also works well when placed on top of the metal roof of your parked vehicle and when placed directly on the ground. The MZZ-STEALTH-A includes an updated ATU 2.0 loop controller that features a black background display with Amber characters. This LOOP Antenna Controller operates the tuning motor of the STEALTH LOOP remotely via an included two-conductor 16.4 ft. control cable** (Extension Cable assemblies are available).

Automatic STEALTH LOOP antenna tuning is supported with optional Radio Interface Cables for select Elecraft, Kenwood, and Yaesu models by RS-232 COM or CAT and by CI-V “Remote” for Icom models. Tracking your transceiver VFO and band changes, the frequency information is read by the ATU 2.0 unit directly from the radio, which tunes the LOOP antenna automatically to the displayed frequency.

Manual tuning is easy for any radio that cannot be directly interfaced. Using the numeric keypad included with ATU 2.0 Loop Controller, enter the desired frequency, wait a moment while the STEALTH LOOP antenna is tuned automatically and it is ready to use. This works for receivers and transceivers. There is no difficult tuning process, no note taking or complicated search for lowest SWR. The ATU 2.0 display shows frequency and SWR immediately and LEDs signal the status of the controller and the STEALTH LOOP.

Magnetic loop antennas typically have a small negative gain when compared to a dipole. However, their signal to noise ratio far exceeds that of a dipole. It's their enhanced S/N ratio that makes these magnetic loops superior receiving antennas.
