Celebrate five decades of low-power amateur radio innovation with Radio Society: 50 Years of G-QRP, a special publication commemorating the 50th anniversary of the world-renowned G-QRP Club.

Founded in 1974 by the Reverend George Dobbs, G3RJV (SK), the G-QRP Club has inspired generations of radio amateurs to explore the challenges and rewards of low-power operating. Throughout its history, the club's highly respected SPRAT magazine has documented the designs, ideas, and achievements of QRP enthusiasts from around the world.

Produced by the RSGB as part of the club's 50-year celebration, this impressive 320-page volume features a carefully curated collection of articles reproduced from SPRAT magazine exactly as they originally appeared. Organized into six major sections, the book covers Transmitters, Receivers, Transceivers, Antenna Systems, Test Equipment, and a wide range of miscellaneous projects and technical topics.

The selected articles showcase the evolution of amateur radio technology over the past five decades, highlighting the G-QRP Club's role as an early adopter of innovative techniques and emerging technologies. Readers will gain a fascinating perspective on how equipment design, construction methods, and operating practices have developed throughout the history of the hobby.

Whether you're interested in portable operating, homebrewing equipment, QRP contesting, or simply exploring amateur radio's rich technical heritage, this book offers a wealth of inspiration. From classic designs to more modern projects, the collection demonstrates the creativity and ingenuity that have defined the QRP movement for generations.

Radio Society: 50 Years of G-QRP is both a historical record and a practical source of ideas, making it a valuable addition to the library of any amateur radio operator, builder, or QRP enthusiast.
