Overview
The West Mountain Radio USB-to-CAT Interface Module is designed to allow equipment, such as the TARGETuner, to be connected to radios which only use a USB port for CAT rig control such as the Yaesu FT-891. The device itself converts a CAT data stream from the USB port of a radio into a TTL data. It is bi-directional, meaning data flows in both directions.
Note: The West Mountain USB‑to‑CAT Interface has only been tested with the Yaesu FT‑891. Compatibility with other transceivers is not guaranteed, as their USB ports often support multiple functions that may prevent proper CAT operation.
