FT-60R's small size allows you to take it anywhere—hiking, skiing, or while walking around town—and its operating flexibility brings the user many avenues of operating enjoyment. Its incredibly tiny FNB-83 Rechargeable Nickel-Metal Hydride Battery Pack provides up to 5W of transmit power on the 144MHz and 430MHz Amateur Bands. Besides 144- and 430-MHz transceiver operation, the FT-60R provides receive coverage of the VHF and UHF TV bands, the VHF AM aircraft band, and a wide range of commercial and public safety frequencies!

The FT-60R can be charged by attaching the PA-48B AC Adapter Cable to the SBH-13B Charging Cradle (both included), then insert the FT-60R into the Charging Cradle. The SBH-13B Charging Cradle can also be used for charging spare FNB-83 battery packs (sold separately). Alternatively, the optional YSU-SDD-13 Cigarette lighter DC Car Charger can be plugged directly into the FT-60R to charge the radio, or plugged into the SBH-13B Charging Cradle to charge either the FT-60R radio or a spare battery for flexible charging options while on the go.
