Amphenol RF UHF Male Crimp Connectors
Amphenol RF UHF Male Crimp Connectors are lightweight units that are designed to operate up to 300 MHz. The PL-259 UHF Male connector has become the de facto standard for HF and VHF transmission lines.
These connectors feature brass bodies finished in bright-nickel plating. Their Phenolic dielectric material resists water absorption, while their gold or silver-plated contacts ensure low-resistance connective surfaces.
The PL-259 was the original US military designation for these "UHF" connectors, named for the upper frequency limit of their use at the time. Therefore, UHF Male for PL-259 and UHF Female for SO-239 are the terms recognized around the world.
