The DX Engineering RSR-710 Radio Side Rail kit is specially designed to provide protection and attachment possibilities for the popular Yaesu FT-710 Transceivers. Radio Side Rails guard the front and rear panels whenever the radio is used for portable operations. They are made from high-strength, lightweight, impact-resistant black polymer. These robust rails function as front handles, flaring outward to maintain easy access to the controls. Their curved shape at the back panel makes it easier to slip the transceiver into a backpack, and they are ideal for POTA activations as well as casual portable activities.

Radio Side Rails are designed with precise cutouts for ventilation and connections, along with specialized contours that enable quick and easy mounting of an automatic antenna tuner or other accessories using hook and loop straps. Each kit includes four M4 thumb screws, four M4 hex socket head screws, and a hex wrench, allowing for both temporary and long-term Radio Side Rail attachments. Additionally, eight rubber bumpers are provided for extra protection. These bumpers are user-installed into the four recessed holes on the inside surfaces of each side rail before attaching to the radio.

Note: When using the RSR-710 Radio Side Rails, the SP-40 external speaker cannot be physically attached to the FT-710-AESS model transceivers.

Important! Hand Tighten the M4 hex socket screws and thumb screws. The torque specification for the M4 screws and thumb screws is a maximum of 10 inch-pounds. It is crucial not to exceed this specification, and use only the fasteners provided, as they have been specifically selected to prevent internal damage to the transceiver.
