EAntenna EA80DXS Short Dipole Wire Antennas
EAntenna EA80DXS is a Short Dipole, 65.5 ft. in length, designed for coverage of the lower portion of the 80 meter band, 3.5 to 3.8 MHz only. This rugged antenna features a good bandwidth of 120 kHz under 2:1 SWR. Actual desired frequency range depends upon on-site tuning by length adjustment. Loading coils are made with enameled copper 15 AWG equivalent (1.65 sq. mm) wire and high UV resistance insulated 12 AWG equivalent (2.0 sq. mm) antenna wire. This antenna includes an EAntenna 1:1 Balun, rated up to 1.5 kW, which has a SO-239 (UHF female), and the antenna has a total weight of 3.3 lbs. (1.5 kg). Ideal for limited-space operations on 80 meters, this dipole may be mounted horizontal or as an Inverted Vee.
