Both the 2M15-B and 2M15S-B are 100% American-made with 100% American materials. The core is made of solid 3/8 in. (9.5 cm) fiber-rich, custom-blended fiberglass, hand-wound with double-insulated 19-gauge copper wire. The 3/8-24 in. threaded base fits all common mounts and accessories. Each antenna is covered with a static-reducing, water-tight sleeve containing UV and pigment stabilizers. A vinyl cap protects the tuning mechanism from the elements.

These antennas perform best when mounted over a sufficient ground plane. Their versatile tuning screw design offers a wide tuning range. The lowest frequency is achieved with the tuning screw in its highest lockable position and the vinyl cap installed. The highest frequency is found with both the vinyl cap and tuning mechanism removed. During design testing, resonance from 135-168 MHz was achieved without exceeding a maximum threshold SWR of 2.0:1. In the 2M 144-148 MHz frequency range, a sub 1.5:1 SWR was easily achieved.

Choose the FAC-2M15-B if you do not need the added protection of a spring at the base of the antenna. For roof mounts or other locations where physical contact with immovable objects is likely, the FAC-2M15S-B is the better choice.

The FAC-2M15S antenna production length is factory-adjusted to compensate for the included stainless steel spring.
