ICOM IC-2730B Black Edition VHF/UHF FM Transceivers boast all the same great features as the original IC-2730A transceiver, but with a new high contrast black inverted LCD display that offers improved visibility in various lighting conditions, reduced glare, and lower energy consumption. The display size of ICOM's IC-2730B is 1.5 times larger than ICOM's other comparable models, giving way for larger frequency display and channel names.

These VHF/UHF FM Transceivers provide VHF/VHF, UHF/UHF simultaneous receive capability in addition to VHF/UHF receive. These transceivers have a built-in duplexer, so you can use a 144 and 430MHz dual-band antenna without needing an external duplexer. Main dials, volume, squelch knobs and primary control buttons are symmetrically laid out for each band. IC-2730B transceivers employ a durable PA module and deliver 50W of high power analog operation on the 2-meter and 70cm bands.

CTCSS and DTCS tones are built-in for quiet stand-by and repeater access. CTCSS split tone function allows you to set CTCSS tones separately for repeater uplink and downlink. A single DTCS code may be polarity reversed independently for repeater uplink or downlink. IC-2730B receivers cover 118-174 and 375-550MHz. You will be able to listen to aviation, marine, weather channels and other utility communications.

These IC-2730B transceivers come equipped with an HM-207 Remote Control Hand Mic. An optional VS-3 Bluetooth Headset is available and requires a UT-133/A Bluetooth module to be installed into the IC-2730B. The Bluetooth headset and module are sold separately.
