Overview
MFJ HF/6M/VHF/UHF Duplexers
MFJ HF/6M/VHF/UHF Duplexers employ a series of inductors and capacitors that act as bandpass filters. These duplexers (dual-bandpass devices) can be used in two distinctly different ways.
They may combine the output of HF or HF/VHF transceivers and the output of a UHF transceiver so that both transceivers may be connected to the same antenna. They may also be used to separate HF/VHF transmissions from UHF transmissions so that one transceiver may be connected to two antennas.
MFJ duplexers are available that will split or combine frequencies as low as 1.3 to 30 MHz and VHF bands starting from 50 MHz. Other VHF/UHF bandpass frequencies starting from 140 to 350 MHz are also available. These devices top-out at 540 MHz, depending on model.
MFJ duplexers are designed for indoor use, only. If you use MFJ duplexers outdoors, they should only be used for short periods of time and under good weather conditions. Do not use one of these duplexers outdoors when there is any kind of precipitation.
These types of HF/VHF/UHF duplexers have become increasingly popular as transceivers gain more bands. Separate or combine your band usage with MFJ HF/6M/VHF/UHF Duplexers from DX Engineering.
