Overview
OptiBeam OB6-3M 6 Element 3 Band
OptiBeam OB6-3M 6-Element 20-15-10M Hybrid Moxon Yagi
This high-performance short boom directional triband antenna for amateur radio operators covers all five 20 through 10 meter bands with excellent SWR bandwidth. This Moxon folded element Yagi configuration fits into a small 28.2 ft. (8.6m) diameter footprint for limited space installations at the edge of a property or in a clearing between trees.
The OB6-3M is designed using advanced computer-aided simulation techniques and is carefully refined through extensive field testing. At its core lies a directly coupled 3-element driver cell, where the active elements are interconnected by a phase line made of square tubes. It features a separate reflector for the 20m and 15m bands and a dedicated director for the 10m band. A key feature is the use of Moxon-bent elements for the 20m band, reducing physical size while maintaining efficiency and improving the front-to-back ratio.
