ACOM 1000 HF + 6 Meter Linear Amplifiers

ACOM 1000 HF + 6 Meter Linear Amplifiers are the world's best value in an Amateur HF amplifier. These amps provide you a comfortable 1,000 watts output on all amateur bands from 160 through 6 meters. The plate-load True Resistance Indicator (TRI) is a powerful tuning aid which helps the operator to quickly and precisely match antennas. The auto-operate function (when enabled) maintains the amplifier in OPERATE mode for you, saving on manual operations. Broadband input matches to the transceiver over the entire range of 1.8-54 MHz. ACOM 1000 amplifiers are both user-friendly and look after themselves. They are designed to safely withstand up to 300 watts reflected power, drive spikes of up to 100 milliseconds duration, drive RF "tails" after a PTT or KEY release and the operator's inadvertent tuning errors. They also withstand a "soft" AC line and will deliver more than half power at only 75 percent of nominal mains voltage. They can withstand voltage drops for up to 10 milliseconds, and up to 15 percent higher line-voltage spikes. These details are all important, particularly when used at Field Day, on DXpeditions and other portable operations. Be sure to read the SPECIAL Note, below. An ACOM 4CX800A high-performance ceramic/metal tetrode with plate dissipation of 800 watts is employed. On-board processing provides permanent monitoring and protection of plate and grid voltages and currents, as well as the exhaust temperature. Text messages, 12 different parameters, and strip peak-reading PEP meter are displayed on a dot-matrix, back-lighted LCD. LED indicators are provided for OPERATE, attenuator-on, and ON/OFF conditions. Records of the amplifier internal status are stored in nonvolatile memory for the seven most-recent auto-protection trips. This information is very valuable should diagnostics be needed. The input bypassing and the vacuum antenna relays are very quiet even in CW mode due to their special mounting. This results in virtually noise-free QSK! ACOM-1000 details: * Frequency Coverage: 1.8-54 MHz * Power Output: 1,000W PEP or continuous carrier; for continuous carrier transmissions longer than 15 minutes the external auxiliary fan must be installed * Intermodulation Distortion: Better than 35dB below rated output * Hum and noise: Better than 40dB below rated output * Harmonic Output Suppression: 1.8-29.7 MHz; 50dB below rated output, 50-54 MHz; 66dB below rated output * Input and Output Impedances: Nominal values: 50 Ohm unbalanced output; Input circuit: broadband, VSWR less than 1.3:1, 1.8-54 MHz; Bypass path: VSWR less than 1.1:1, 1.8-54 MHz continuously * RF Gain: 12.5dB typically, frequency response less than 1dB (50-60W drive power for rated output) * Primary Power: 170-264V (200, 210, 220, 230 and 240V nominal taps), 50-60Hz, single phase, 2200VA consumption at rated output. 230 or 240 volts recommended for USA * SPECIAL Note: Order part number AOM-1000 to wire the AC plug and voltage selection yourself; order part number AOM-1000-240 for pre-wired 240 volt operation or part number AOM-1000-120 for pre-wired 120 volt operation * Complies with CE safety and electromagnetic compatibility requirements as well as FCC-regulations * Size: 16.6 x 14 x 7.2 in. * Weight 58.5 lbs. * Operating environments: Temperature range 32 to 122 degrees F, Humidity up to 95 percent at 95 F * Altitude: up to 3,000m (10,000 ft.) above sea level without output deterioration Note: For additional information, please look at the files under the "Documentation" tab. ACOM 1010 HF Linear Amplifiers

ACOM 1010 HF Linear Amplifiers cover all bands from 1.8 through 29.7 MHz. They provide over 700 W PEP output (or 500 W continuous-modes) with less than 60 watts of drive and operate without special transceiver signaling; they need only "ground on TX" and the required drive. ACOM's exclusive True Resistance Indicator (TRI); enables faster antenna changes and use over wider frequency ranges. Also, a built-in antenna selector switch with two outputs is included to provide instant choice of antennas. Antenna matching can be achieved in less than 10 seconds and at a quarter of nominal output power, which results in lower risk of interference to other stations and greater safety to the amplifier components. A single ACOM 4CX800A high-performance ceramic-metal tetrode with plate dissipation of 800 watts is used for maximum efficiency. These amplifiers are self-monitoring. They are designed to safely withstand up to 240 watts of reflected power, up to 100 milliseconds of drive spikes (RF "tails" after a PTT or KEY release), and even operator tuning errors. They are also capable of operating at more than half their designed output at only 75 percent of nominal line voltage. Because they can tolerate deep voltage drops and 15 percent line voltage spikes, they are particularly well-suited for use in portable environments, such as Field Day and DXpeditions. Importantly, a variety of system parameters are continuously monitored and available to the operator to assure safe and efficient amplifier operation. Design of the high-voltage power supply eliminates the danger of turn-on transients affecting sensitive devices connected to the same line (mains) circuit. Moreover, the amplifier can be configured to accommodate any of eight nominal line voltages between 100 and 240 V, 50 or 60 Hz. Please see the SPECIAL Note, below. A broadband input circuit provides a perfect transceiver load with SWR below 1.2 without re-tuning throughout the entire frequency range from 1.8 to 54 MHz. The two final PA stages use a rugged MRFX1K80HR5 or equivalent LDMOS transistor. The 2020S features built-in intelligence that continuously monitors system health and protection circuits in all modes. Also, the operator can monitor eleven different parameters of amplifier operation. Detailed fault data is stored in the amplifier's memory and shows up to 55 parameters for each of the last 28 hard-fault protection trips. Compact and lightweight construction with a built-in switching-mode power supply that operates within a power mains voltage range of 200-240 VAC, ±10% (180-264 VAC limiting values), with no internal switch over. The consumed current is purely sinusoidal, power factor corrected and in-rush current limited, which makes the operation of this amplifier from unstable AC mains and generators easy and trouble-free.

ACOM 2000A Automatic HF Linear Amplifiers

ACOM 2000A Automatic HF Linear Amplifiers are the world's most advanced amplifiers designed specifically for hams. These amplifiers were the first to include fully-automatic tuning and sophisticated digital-control capabilities. ACOM's revolutionary 2000A amplifiers deliver maximum legal power in all modes and operate on all amateur HF bands 160 to 10 meters. Be sure to read the SPECIAL Note, below. These amplifiers follow your transceiver's band and frequency automatically in far less than a second. No special cables are required: Just a "dit" on CW or "AHH" on SSB is enough for instant band and band segment changes. ACOM 2000A amps break every amateur band into multiple frequency segments. The user can store up to ten (10) sets of tuning adjustments for every frequency segment - allowing individual settings for multiple antennas on each band. By completely eliminating time-consuming tune-up procedures, ACOM 2000A linear amplifiers give contesters a real edge. At the core of the ACOM 2000A is a classic HF amplifier design that employs two matched 4CX800A high-performance ceramic-metal tetrodes for maximum efficiency. ACOM uses these rigorously tested tubes with today's most advanced digital control technology to create an amplifier with outstanding performance, features and reliability. Measured third and fifth order IMD are typically 40dB and 45dB down, respectively. Typical harmonic emissions are as low as -55dBc (second) and below -70dBc (for third and above). Thus, probability of QRM, BCI or TVI is dramatically minimized. ACOM's 2000A remote diagnostic features and modular design ease fault isolation and repair. The protection system makes damaging one of these amplifiers difficult. Information on the 12 most recent protection trips is stored in an INFO BOX for remote diagnostics via phone line, PC, and Internet. Full break-in (QSK) is based on a built-in vacuum relay. ACOM 1500 HF + 6 Meter Linear Amplifiers are user-friendly and look after themselves. They are designed to safely withstand up to 300 watts of reflected power and up to 100 milliseconds duration of drive spikes. These amplifiers also continue to function with "soft" AC mains and will deliver more than half power at only 85 percent of nominal mains voltage. They can withstand voltage drops for up to 10 milliseconds and can tolerate 15 percent mains voltage spikes. This level of tolerance is especially important on Field Day, during DXpeditions, and at portable operating events where emergency power is relied upon. Please see the SPECIAL Note, below. The True Resistance Indicator (TRI) is a powerful tuning aid that helps the operator to quickly and precisely match the antenna impedance to the optimum tube load impedance. The auto-operate function (when enabled) maintains the amplifier in the OPERATE mode, thus avoiding unnecessary manual operations. Your ACOM amplifier will enable you to change antennas virtually instantaneously and allow you to use your antennas over wider frequency ranges. Broadband input matching presents a very good load to the transceiver over the entire spectrum of 1.8-54 MHz. These amplifiers produce virtually-silent QSK. ACOM A3x2000A HF Power Splitter/Combiner

The ACOM A3x2000A HF Power Splitter/Combiner is a passive device designed to sum the outputs of three HF linear amplifiers into a common load while the amplifiers are driven by a single exciter. This allows for better signal processing, modular amplification setup, and more consistent power levels. For best results we recommend three automatic amplifiers of the type ACOM2000A. Manual tune amplifiers with a precise tuning indicator like ACOM1200, ACOM1000, ACOM1010 or ACOM1011 can be used. Models that use a broadband input network are recommended. An automatic protection circuit is implemented in the ACOM A3x2000A, which monitors the three amplifier outputs during operation. In case of an imbalance, the protection circuit cuts the drive to the amplifiers and switches transceiver output to an internal 50 Ohm dummy load. The imbalance power is swamped by powerful resistors until the protection trips. Circuit reset is accomplished by a simple push-button. Specifications: * Frequency coverage: 1.8 – 30 MHz, continuous * Power output: 5 kW PEP, VSWR < 1.3:1 * Input impedance: 50 ohm unbalanced, UHF, SO-239 connectors, broadband * 8.268 in. wide, 12.795 in. deep, 7.677 in. tall * 14.1 lbs.
