EAntenna VHF and UHF Directional Antennas

EAntenna VHF and UHF Directional Antennas include exciting new offerings for the 50, 144 and 430 MHz bands. Weak-signal enthusiasts will enjoy using these high quality beams with superior specs for SSB, CW, digital and satellite. Here are the original low-noise Loop Fed Array mono-band beams or Optimized Wideband Arrays for VHF and UHF. Plus there are super specialized 2 meter or 70 cm Cross Polarized Yagis and the compact EAntenna 6 meter Moxon antenna that has only a 3 ft. boom! NOTE: The dual-band beams for 2 meters and 70 cm designed by DK7ZB cover 144 to 146 MHz and 420 to 440 MHz, which is the entire band in Europe. In the USA they are suitable for use on SSB, CW, digital and satellite as a horizontally polarized antenna. They will NOT function for the American FM Simplex and Repeater band sections of 146 - 148 MHz and 440 -450 MHz. DX Engineering recommends antennas manufactured by EAntenna because their attention to detail is meticulous! These Yagi, log periodic and rotatable dipole antennas are built with only the highest quality stainless steel hardware and aircraft grade aluminum. As you look through their selections, be aware that advanced, cutting-edge computer modeling and optimization techniques were used to produce EAntenna premier HF beams and state-of-the-art VHF and UHF antennas. Their mechanical designs are very robust in every way, as most are rated for at least 100 MPH wind survival. To see additional information about each antenna, click on the "More Details" link on the antenna of interest. Then click the Specifications tab to see all of the physical and electrical characteristics of that antenna. EAntenna products are offered exclusively in North America by DX Engineering. Plus we can ship internationally! When you are making plans for a new antenna at your station, plan to look right here for the outstanding solutions by EAntenna, "The Best Choice for Your Antenna System!" NOTE: Manuals are normally supplied bilingual. If your manual lacks an English section, contact DX Engineering for an English version. IMPORTANT: EAntenna VHF and UHF Loop Fed Antennas are intended to be mounted horizontally for SSB and CW operation which is at the lower frequency end of the bands, NOT on FM. For example, the 2 meter LFA should be mounted horizontally and is tuned for use on 144-146 MHz and is not intended for FM use on 146-148 MHz. Additionally, the DK7ZB design EAntenna dual-band beams for 2 meters and 70 cm cover only 144-146 MHz and 420-440 MHz, the same European frequency range, and so they are not suitable for FM use in North America. EAntenna Cross Polarized LFA beams have both horizontal and vertical elements with only 144.0 - 144.5 MHz coverage designed specifically for EME or satellite enthusiasts.

EAntenna Sloper Antennas

The EAntenna Slopers are shortened with a coil to reduce the antenna length, but behave like quarter-wave sloper antennas. Like any Sloper antenna, it is directional with a low angle for excellent long range DX results. Directivity is away from the supporting metal mast or tower, toward the lower end of the sloper. If a non-metallic vertical support is used for the sloper, an additional vertical wire counterpoise is required. The antenna wire is 2mm (approx. 12 AWG) with UV-resistant insulation for durability. This antenna does not include a balun, but use with a feedline choke, line isolator, or coax bead choke is recommended to achieve the desired results. These antennas are rated for 2 kW CW. The EAntenna EASLP160S achieves a considerable 2:1 SWR bandwidth of 75 kHz. The EAntenna EASLP80S achieves a respectable 2:1 SWR bandwidth of 210 kHz. The assembly and deployment of this antenna is simple. The feedpoint of the antenna is attached to the mast or tower at the minimum height listed below, or higher, if possible, for better results. If supported by a tree, this antenna requires a grounded vertical wire counterpoise, in addition to the coax feedline. With antenna support rope, extend the insulated end to a support a minimum of 10 ft. above the ground. This antenna is preset to the bottom of the band. Adjust to higher frequencies within the band with 5 cm (2 in.) cuts for gradual changes while using an antenna analyzer. In just 5 minutes you can prune the antenna to cover the desired portion of the band. Physical Characteristics of the EAntenna Slopers: * EASLP160 Total Length: 17.7m (58.0 ft.); Minimum Height: 12.7m (41.6 ft.) * EASLP80 Total Length: 11.0m (36.0 ft.); Minimum Height: 8.0m (26.2 ft.)

EAntenna Single Band Dipole

The EAntenna EA60JR Dipole is designed as a mono-band antenna for 60 meter, which also functions on the 15 meter band. It has an overall length of 16 meters (52.5 ft.) when installed as an Inverted-V; and a bandwidth over 100 kHz of 60 meters and over 500 KHz on 15 meters with a minimum SWR of 1.1:1 at 5330 kHz when installed at 10 meters (33 ft.) above ground. Maximum power is 1.5 kW continuous. Adjust the EAntenna EA60JR Dipole antenna resonance by 50 kHz with a 5 cm (2 in.) cut on each end of the dipole. All our antennas are computer designed and optimized, based on NEC2 and NEC4 engine. Each model is tested for reliability before it is marketed, to ensure optimum antenna performance for each customer installation. Antennas are measured to the millimeter with precision equipment. Baluns are manufactured in aeronautical-grade 6082 T5 aluminum. The Amphenol SO-239 UHF female connector is manufactured with the best materials, including ceramic dielectric for high power handling. The dipole antennas feature the best HF wire available, Flex Weave, 2mm 2 (AWG 14), terminated to a polyamide insulator capable of use within the extreme temperature range (-90 degrees to +70 ° degrees C). EAntenna are hand-made by qualified personnel for a final product of extreme quality. The advantages of EAntenna dipoles are: * Broad bandwidth compared to other brands * Very flexible wire, excellent for permanent and portable operation without deterioration * Non-directional (like an inverted V) * Great for DX! All this makes the installed EAntenna, your final antenna. A description of assembly is available inside the package, and answers to questions are available before the purchase directly from the manufacturer by email (ea7jx@eantenna.es). Excellent after-sales service and timely assistance are offered by email, as well.
