ERICO CADWELD Exothermic Welding Materials
ERICO CADWELD exothermic welding materials are a mixture of copper oxide and aluminum, packaged by size, in plastic tubes. Each tube contains the starting material at the bottom of the plastic tube, with the weld metal on top. When emptied into a CADWELD mold, that places the starting material on the top. These welding materials are not explosive and are not subject to spontaneous ignition. Welding material containers are packaged in boxes along with a metal disk. Each weld application uses a disk to add metal to the weld. ERICO CADWELD exothermic welding materials product summary: * Mixture consists mainly of copper oxide and aluminum * Primarily used in grounding and bonding applications * Welding material is in the top of the tube and starting material is in the bottom of the tube * Packaged by size in plastic tubes with clear caps * Tubes are packaged in plastic boxes along with metal disks * Each welded connection uses a single disk * Non-explosive; not subject to spontaneous ignition * See specific ERICO CADWELD connection details to determine welding material and mold requirements DX Engineering now offers these welding materials for use in enhanced, high-quality grounding systems. Be sure to order your ERICO CADWELD exothermic welding materials from DX Engineering!

ERICO CADWELD Mold Cleaning Tools
ERICO reusable exothermic molds benefit greatly from cleaning after each use. For horizontally-split molds, ERICO CADWELD Mold Cleaning Tools work quite well without damaging the graphite. When using horizontally split molds, the tap hole must also be checked when cleaning the mold. If slag remains in the tap hole, you may push it out with the steel handle of the mold cleaning tool. To keep your molds in good shape order CADWELD Mold Cleaning Tools from DX Engineering.

ERICO CADWELD ONE SHOT PLUS Wire to Ground Rod Clamps
ERICO CADWELD ONE SHOT PLUS Wire to Ground Rod Clamps produce a non-removable, permanent, exothermic connection to a ground rod that will not loosen, corrode or increase in resistance for the life of the installation. ONE SHOT PLUS Wire to Ground Rod Clamps are not clamps, but replace a clamp with a welded connection that thermally fuses the wire to the ground rod. Unlike the standard ONE SHOT, these ONE SHOT PLUS devices use electronic ignition and require no spark igniter or starting material. The required electronic igniter is available separately. All ONE SHOTs include convenient, single-use (one-shot) ceramic molds that eliminate the need for handle clamps and/or frames. These exothermic connections are ideal for threaded or non-threaded copper-bonded steel, galvanized or stainless steel ground rods. ERICO CADWELD ONE SHOT PLUS exothermic welders are also: * NEC compliant, cULus Listed * Rural Utilities Service (RUS) accepted CADWELD ONE SHOT PLUS welders have been used for making permanent and reliable connections to ground rods for telecommunications, broadcast stations, cable television applications and electrical transmission and distribution. Builders in those applications have long known the value and quality of CADWELD systems. Any outdoor connection made by mechanical clamping methods begins to degrade from the day it's installed. Since World War II, CADWELD has provided the industry standard against which all other ground connections are measured. No invention or innovation has proved to be better. Now you may use CADWELD ONE SHOT PLUS to ensure the best, most reliable and superior ground connection for your Amateur Radio station! Note: The use of these products generates extreme heat. Please follow all ERICO CADWELD instructions carefully to ensure safe and successful application of their product. Note: Whenever the DX Engineering "Documentation" tab is available, please look at the associated files for additional product information.
