LDG Electronics Headphone Director — a simple solution to an odd problem. Most computers have their audio connections on the back or side where they're not easy to reach. The Headphone Director moves the audio output jack to the front of the computer where it belongs, and automatically disconnects the external speakers when headphones are connected. The Headphone Director is compatible with most personal computers, both Macs and PCs, and includes a 3.5mm Male Stereo TRS Patch Cable to make the connection. The Headphone Director is a passive device requiring no external power, and installation is simply plug-and-play. Simply plug your headphones into the Headphones jack on the front of the Headphone Director. The external speakers will be muted, and the audio routed to the headphones. To return to listening on speakers simply unplug the headphones.
