LDG Electronics Z-11ProII Automatic Antenna Tuners

LDG Electronics Z-11ProII Automatic Antenna Tuners are everything you always wanted in a small, portable tuner that's been designed from the ground up for battery operation. Weighing only 18 oz., they handle 0.1 to 125 watts, making them ideal for both QRP and standard 100 watt transceivers from 160 to 6 meters. Z-11ProII tuners use LDG's state-of-the-art, processor-controlled Switched-L tuning network. They will match dipoles, verticals, inverted Vs, or virtually any coax-fed antenna. With an optional balun, they will also match longwires or antennas fed with ladder-line. Frequency-sensing circuitry lets the Z-11Pros "know" your operating band and frequency. These tuners have 2,000 memories that are used to automatically store tuning configurations for each frequency and band… as you use them. Whenever you transmit on or near a frequency you've used before, the Z-11ProIIs re-tune from memory almost instantly. Memories are retained indefinitely. Full auto mode tunes with SSB. Just speak into the mic, and it tunes! Rugged and easy-to-read LEDs indicate SWR and status. LDG Electronics Z-11ProII tuners use latching relays, which retain the tuned configuration, even when powered down. The current draw when not tuning is effectively zero. Additional features include: * Tuning time is 0.1 to 6 seconds full tune, 0.1 seconds memory tune * Selectable user parameters: auto/semi, threshold, and more * 1.8 to 54.0 MHz coverage with built-in frequency sensor * Tunes 6 to 1,000 ohm loads (16 to 150 on 6m) * Includes 6 ft. DC power cable * Power requirements are 6 to 16V DC at 300 mA maximum * 25 uA standby current * User installable 4-AA battery holder (batteries not included) * Weight: 1.5 lbs. Note: For additional information, please look at the files under the "Documentation" tab. With the list of features above, LDG Electronics Z-11ProII Automatic Antenna Tuners from DX Engineering could just be the best portable automatic tuner ever built!

LDG Electronics TW-1 Talking SWR/Wattmeters

LDG Electronics TW-1 Talking SWR/Wattmeters provide an aural spoken indication of power and SWR using a digitally recorded voice. It is ideal for the visually impaired or for those times when you need to look elsewhere while still obtaining power and SWR measurements. At the press of a button, the TW-1 speaks the forward power, reverse power or SWR. Three languages are available: English, Spanish and German and it includes an internal top firing speaker; no external audio hookups are needed. The TW-1 also offers a continuous tone mode for tuning. Simply press and hold the Forward button and a tone indicates power. As you adjust your amplifier or antenna tuner, a higher tone indicates higher power. This is perfect for peaking your amplifier while keeping a close watch on the grid current. You can select either long or short voice reports (verbose or terse modes). Long reports include descriptors like "thousand" or "hundred" and end with "forward watts" or "reverse watts". Short reports speak only the numerical value of the measurement you've selected for a quick reading. The TW-1 needs just 1W to operate, but will handle up to 2000W PEP, making it suitable for everything from QRP to full legal limit. The TW-1 is accurate to ± 5% of reading across the entire power range and resolution is 1W or 1% of reading (whichever is higher). The microprocessor controlled TW-1 can easily be upgraded in the field with a simple chip exchange. It requires 11-15VDC at 200mA maximum (power supply not included) but consumes minimal current when not speaking. Suitable for mobile use, simply install it in a convenient location near your operating position and provide 12VDC through a fused line (fuse not included, LDG recommends a 2 amp fast-blow fuse). SWR Tone mode is especially useful for tuning a "screwdriver" antenna while watching the road. (LDG strongly recommends that you pull over to a complete stop before adjusting your antenna) The November 2005 issue of QST Magazine features an exhaustive review of the TW-1 starting on page 77. Additional Features and Specifications: -Frequency Range 1.8-54.0MHz -Power rating: 0-2000W PEP, Auto-Ranging -Speech: Speaks Forward and Reverse power in watts, as well as SWR -Languages: English, Spanish, German -Continuous tone for making amplifier or tuner adjustments -Accuracy: ± 5% of reading across entire HF range (± 10% on 6M) -Power requirements: 11-15VDC at 200 mA Max (user supplies power source) -2x UHF female SO239 Connectors -2.5mm x 5.5mm Center Positive DC Power Jack - DC Power cable included!
