DX Engineering has located a Neutral Cure RTV made right here in Ohio that is non-corrosive and is safe for sealing those baluns and other electronic gear that are going to be out in the weather. Applies just like "normal" RTV, dries in one hour and cures in 24 hours at 70 degrees F. And it doesn't smell like vinegar! Permatex Ultra Black RTV silicone adhesive is designed to provide a waterproof, flexible, weather-resistant seal around metal, glass, rubber, and more. It's made to withstand temperatures of up to 500 degrees F.

Permatex Clear RTV Silicone
Permatex Clear RTV Silicone Adhesive Sealant s designed to provide a waterproof, flexible, weather-resistant seal around metal, glass, rubber, and more. It's designed for both interior and exterior use. It may be used to attach and seal Guy Line End Caps onto Phillystran. However, this sealant it is NOT recommended for use on electronic devices. This sealant contains acetic acid which accelerates curing time and gives it that unmistakable odor of vinegar, but it also adversely affects circuit board traces and soldered connections. For electronic devices that require sealing, use the DX Engineering Approved Sealant, Permatex 82180 Ultra Black RTV Silicone, which is available here, from DX Engineering.

Permatex Medium Strength Blue Threadlocker
Permatex medium strength blue threadlocker is OEM specified. Blue is an all-purpose threadlocker ideal for all nut and bolt applications of 1/4 in. to 3/4 in., eliminating the need for stocking expensive lock nuts and lock washers. It locks and seals while preventing parts from loosening due to vibration, and it protects threads from corrosion, can be removed with hand tools for easy disassembly, and conforms to ASTM D 5363 AN0321 standards.
