Davis Instruments Anemometers include both wind speed and wind direction sensors. They have rugged components that stand up to hurricane-force winds, yet are sensitive to the lightest breeze. The wind-speed range and accuracy have been verified in wind tunnel tests at speeds in excess of 200 miles per hour. For areas where icing of the anemometer may be a problem, drip rings to deflect water from the joint between moving parts have been provided.
