Davis Instruments Wireless Repeaters
Davis Instruments wireless repeaters extend the range of your wireless station--for miles on end. In testing, Davis achieved an incredible 4 miles (6.4 km) of transmission distance using two of their long-range repeaters equipped with Yagi antennas. The actual range will vary depending on antenna height, the terrain and foliage, buildings, other manmade structures, and RF interference. Nevertheless, these repeaters are ideal for agricultural use or research applications where long distances are an issue. These solar-powered models include a solar panel and lithium backup battery. Long-range antennas are sold separately. Standard wireless repeaters are ideal for most applications. They use the same dipole antenna found on all of their wireless stations and consoles. Useful range is up to 1,000 ft. (300 m) outdoors, line of sight. Typical range through walls is 200 ft.to 400 ft. (60 to 120 m). AC-powered models include a power adapter. Solar-powered models include the solar panel and a lithium backup battery. Are you not happy with "just" a four mile maximum range? You may daisy-chain the repeaters to further extend your useful range. Since they operate on FHSS and transmit digital data, you may opt to put several repeaters together. Davis Instruments Integrated Sensor Suites
Davis Instruments Integrated Sensor Suites (ISS) are the heart of any Davis weather station. The ISS detects wind, temperature, rain, humidity, and all of the other basic weather details you need. Whether it' a Vantage Pro2 ISS or a Vantage Vue ISS, you'll capture your local weather. Vantage Pro2 Integrated Sensor Suites are compatible with Vantage Vue and Vantage Pro2 consoles, Weather Envoy, Envoy8X, and Vantage Connect. You may also add optional Solar Radiation and UV Radiation sensors to the Vantage Pro2 ISS. Vantage Pro2 Integrated Sensor Suites are available in cabled and wireless versions. Because Vantage Vues' transmitters are radio-compatible with Vantage Pro2, you can mix and match components. The ISS can transmit to Vantage Vue and wireless Vantage Pro2 consoles, wireless Weather Envoy, Envoy8X, and Vantage Connect. Davis Instruments Sensor Stations
Davis Instruments sensor stations are wireless devices designed to support a variety of included or add-on sensors. Their wireless leaf and soil moisture/temperature stations monitor up to four temperature-compensated soil moisture sensors and two leaf wetness sensors simultaneously. These stations are solar-powered and include battery backup. The soil moisture, temperature, and leaf-wetness sensors are optional and can be ordered to meet the needs of your application. Their complete wireless soil moisture/temperature station comes prepackaged with four soil moisture sensors and four temperature probes. Their Wireless Leaf and Soil Moisture/Temperature station comes without any sensors, allowing you to customize your sensor configuration. Davis Instruments wireless temperature stations allow you to place an extra temperature sensor almost anywhere. Their wireless temperature/humidity stations include a passive solar radiation shield made of a proprietary plastic designed for high thermal reflectance and low thermal conductivity. You'll get very accurate data... even in sunny areas. wWireless Vantage Pro2 console/receiver over any one of eight user-selectable ID codes and have a transmitting range of between 200 and 1,000 ft., depending upon the environment. Davis Instruments Sonic Anemometers
Davis Instruments Sonic Anemometers measure wind-related conditions without moving parts. Pairs of electroacoustic transducers in the anemometer send sonic pulses back and forth and measure the time it takes for the pulse to travel from one to the other. This time is affected by the movement of the air, which allows the anemometer to calculate wind speed and direction, calibrated by temperature measurements. Useful as a replacement for a Vantage Pro2 Sensor Suite Anemometer or to add additional wind data to an existing weather monitoring system. A 40 ft. (12m) Sensor Cable is included to connect to a Vantage Pro2 Sensor Suite or Sensor Transmitter.
