REZ Antenna Systems Z 17 Carbon 17 foot HF Telescopic Whips are an ultra-lightweight 17-foot carbon fiber telescoping whip engineered for portable HF operation where strength, weight, and packability matter most. Weighing just 7.55 ounces, its high-rigidity carbon fiber construction minimizes mast loading and whip deflection while delivering excellent radiating performance in vertical and dipole configurations.

Collapsing to just 25.4 inches, the Z-17 Carbon packs easily into portable field kits while deploying in seconds to its full 17-foot operating length. Naturally resonant on 20 meters, it pairs seamlessly with REZ loading coils for expanded band coverage. When combined with the XFORM 4:1 matching unit, it becomes a highly effective multi-band vertical supporting 30 through 10 meters in a compact, efficient deployment footprint.

Unlike traditional stainless telescoping whips, the Z-17 Carbon is designed to be operated fully extended. Multi-band coverage is achieved using matching units or loading coils rather than adjusting whip length.
