RM ITALY LA 250 Series VHF Linear Amplifiers

RM ITALY LA 250 Series VHF linear amplifiers are wideband, compact amplifiers covering 140 to 150 MHz. Available in two models, the only difference is that the LA 250 V includes a pair of cooling fans while the LA 250 does not.

These high-power 2-meter amplifiers will provide up to 200 watts FM output.

Important: Depending upon SWR and input voltage, 200 watts maximum output is typical with 10 to 12 watts input; 15 watts is the maximum input permissible for a low distortion signal. Protection circuits will take the amplifier offline (fault) at about 18 to 20 watts. Running amplifier output at 170 to 180 watts produces a more intelligible signal at virtually the same received level.
