Yaesu G-800DXA Medium Heavy-Duty Rotator Systems
Yaesu G-800DXA Medium Heavy-Duty Rotator Systems are azimuth positioners designed to rotate large tower-mounted amateur and professional antenna arrays under remote control from the station's operating position. These systems feature attractive compass-dial position indication controllers, with a connector port for optional computer interface for automated directional antenna positioning control. Yaesu's G-800DXA rotator design utilizes 98 heavy 3/8 in. dual-stacked circumferential ball bearings to distribute load over the full diameter of the housing. This design minimizes stress and wear and practically eliminates the possibility of destructive water entry: There is no shaft hole in the top of the housing. Instead of the usual AC motor drive used in older rotator designs, the G-800DXA use a variable-voltage DC motor, removing the need for a large starting capacitor with its potential for failure exposed to outside temperature variations. The factory-lubricated rotator unit is housed in melamine resin-coated die-cast aluminum, intended to provide maintenance-free operation under all climatic conditions. A mast alignment gauge on the rotator housing simplifies accurate mechanical alignment during installation. Tower mounted, this model handles over 20 sq. ft. of antenna wind load and over 400 lbs. of vertical mast load. Installation is required for included plug connectors on to the installer supplied 6-conductor control cable; 20 AWG for lengths less than 125 ft. and 18 AWG over 125 ft. Console power is 117 volts AC for units sold in the USA. The handsome desktop controller provides 360 degrees radial indication of actual antenna azimuth bearing. You can select rotation time over 360 degrees from 40 to 100 seconds on the G-800DXA, and preset a desired heading for the rotator, to which it then turns automatically. The operator may select the stop heading, the compass bearing through which the rotator cannot be turned, which is most convenient for their station location and operation, allowing full rotation through north, south or both, if desired. In any case, 90 degrees overlapping rotation allows rotation through the selected stop heading for 450 degrees of total rotation. These rotators are intended for mounting to an accessory shelf inside a support tower (not supplied), at least 1-meter (40 in.) below the top of the tower. Yaesu rotators have a fine reputation within the Amateur Radio community. WiMo Aluminum Telescoping Masts
WiMo Aluminum Telescoping Masts are convenient for many tasks. Made of a strong yet lightweight weather-resistant alloy, these metric-sized masts are primarily intended for temporary and portable use. They may also be used for long-term installations with the WiMo WMO-23050 Metal Guy Ring Kit. The versatile masts have a range of uses, including vertical antenna construction, installation of weather stations, and mounting of a security camera. They're made of slotted aluminum tubing that can be extended to the desired length. Mast models are available with extended lengths of 5 to 16 meters (16.4 to 52.5 ft.). Each section can be locked solidly in place with the attached clamps. Load capacity of the masts is determined by the clamping length and height; depending on the diameter, weights up to 4 kg (8.818 lbs.) or more are possible. The maximum extension length of each section is limited by a marking ring at approximately 20cm (7.874 in.) above the bottom of the tube. Create CLP-5130-1N VHF/UHF Log-Periodic Antennas are high-gain, wideband directional beam antennas. Designed for horizontal polarization, they may also be mounted vertically with user-supplied hardware. These antennas are capable of transmitting on all amateur bands from 6-meters through 23-centimeters at 500 watts power! DX Engineering RR8B-HP Remote Antenna Switches
DX Engineering RR8B-HP Remote Antenna Switches are RF switches designed to have excellent performance on HF through 6 meters. Using 16 custom, sealed, moisture-resistant relays, these Remote Switches provide the best port-to-port isolation available with reliable, long-term performance. RR8B-HP switches may be used as conventional one-of-eight antenna switches or configured to simultaneously select multiple output ports, thereby allowing their use in complex antenna phasing and stacking systems. DX Engineering RR8B-HP switches use a removable screw-terminal control cable plug that greatly simplifies installation by eliminating the need for disassembly or soldering to wire the control lines. These remote relay boxes are custom-made on a revised stainless steel chassis with integral mounting-bracket flange and include a special RF-shielded high-impact thermoplastic cover. There is also a custom conductive gasket to complete the seal between the cover and stainless steel housing base. A DX Engineering V-Bolt Saddle Clamp is included to mount the RR8B-HP on any tower leg or pipe sized from 1 to 2 in. O.D. M2 Antennas 2MCP14 2 Meter Circularly Polarized Beams are the right choice for satellite operations with basic light-duty azimuth-elevation rotator systems. They feature a specially configured driven elements and phasing feeder system and are typically assembled to achieve right-hand circular polarization needed for most satellite operations. An optional polarity switch is available. A single feedline is used to connect 2MCP14 antennas to the 2 meter section of the satellite transceiver. A second feedline typically connects a mated 436CP30 70cm Circularly Polarized Beam, mounted at the other end of a cross boom, to the same satellite transceiver. 2MCP14 beams are light, medium performance circularly polarized antenna designed to work across the two meter amateur band.
