WiMo QRM Eliminator
The WiMo QRM Eliminator is a simple signal phasing device that can effectively reduce or remove noise interference for dramatically improved reception from 3.5 to 60 MHz. The QRM Eliminator is based on a totally innovative concept and cannot be compared to the performance of noise blanker or DSP circuits. Removing the noise before it gets to the receiver is the superior method of interference reduction. With the WiMo QRM Eliminator you can get rid of local interference almost entirely, up to an S9 level, with the likely result of completely clear reception! You don't have to understand the cause or type of interference nor do you need to know the location of its source. It doesn't matter if the interference originates from your own station or from a welding unit hundreds of feet away. The QRM Eliminator simply connects to the antenna port of transceiver and to the antenna (or amplifier input), without any radio modifications required. An additional user supplied auxiliary receiving antenna is required, such as a properly positioned 8 ft. outdoor dipole antenna or a simple 20 ft. wire in the shack, for example. This "noise sense" antenna receives mostly unwanted signal, while the transmitting antenna receives the same interference in a different phase along with the desired signal. The QRM Eliminator allows the adjustment of the amplification and phase to cancel out the unwanted signal before it reaches the receiver front end! Noise or interference nulling can provide over 45 dB of unwanted signal suppression, in many cases resulting in clear reception of the desired signal. The QRM Eliminator is built into a shielded metal enclosure, functions over the frequency range of 3.5 through 60 MHz, and has a status LED to indicate when the unit is turned on for phasing. The unit has a built-in T/R relay with PTT control via a rear panel RCA phono connector for the transceiver amplifier keying line. The QRM Eliminator automatically switches the Main antenna connection to the transceiver during transmit. Also, simply turn the unit off to bypass the phasing unit for normal reception on the Main transmit antenna. Click "More Detail" below to see additional information about this exciting device. You may not believe the power of interference phase nulling until you have experienced it for yourself. Order the WiMo QRM Eliminator exclusively in North America from DX Engineering.

WiMo ERC-Duo USB Interface for Yaesu Rotators
ERC-Duo USB Interface for Yaesu Rotators is a compact interface designed in Germany for connecting compatible Yaesu rotator controllers to a computer via USB. ERC-Duo can connect to all Yaesu rotator controllers that have an 'Ext. Control' connector. ERC-Duo includes a 6-pin mini-DIN cable for the Yaesu DXA series controllers. The ERC-Duo Interface uses the Yaesu rotor control protocol, just like the Yaesu GS-232A/GS-232B interface. This makes this interface compatible with almost all rotor control programs and logging software programs on the market. A key difference and advantage compared to others is the ERC-Duo Interface is powered via the PC USB port, so it is easy to use for either Base or Portable Satellite operations because it does not require an external power supply. Also included is the USB A to USB B cable for the PC connection. Install the USB driver before connecting the ERC-Duo, a simple download from the FTDI website: https://ftdichip.com/drivers/vcp-drivers/. The calibration tool, user manual and control software can be downloaded from the URL provided in the documentation included in the product packaging. List of supported Yaesu rotors • G-2800DXA • G-1000DXA • G-800DXA • G-5500 and G-5500DC • All other Yaesu models with an 'Ext. Control' socket For use with Yaesu Azimuth-Elevation models G-5500DC or previous G-5500, an optional 8-pin DIN (not mini-DIN) cable must be purchased separately (WMO-ERC-DUO8PDIN). The ERC-Duo offers connection options for two separate rotator controllers simultaneously to support satellite antenna systems with separate azimuth and elevation rotors.

WiMo ATAS 100/120 HF Counterpoise Kits
WiMo ATAS 100/120 HF Counterpoise Kits improve the performance of the ATAS-100 and ATAS-120 antennas when they are used as stationary or portable antennas. The well-known ATAS-100 and ATAS-120 antennas from YAESU were developed as vehicle antennas, but because of their compactness they are often used as portable or stationary antennas. Unfortunately, a balcony railing or the magnetic base alone are typically not sufficient to provide optimal results, so the use of a counterpoise system such as the WiMo ATAS-FGG is useful. The ATAS-FGG counterpoise kit consists of a solid aluminum ring that is attached directly to the ATAS-100 or ATAS-120 antenna with clamping screws and can remain on the ATAS during alternating mobile or stationary use. Eight aluminum radial elements are screwed into the ring and has an overall diameter of 13.12ft. (4m) when fully assembled. If space is not an issue, you can also connect one or more wire radials for the 40m band. NOTE - This counterpoise kit should only be used when stationary and is not intended for mobile use when the vehicle is in motion.

WiMo X-Quad Antennas
WiMo X-Quad Antennas, with separate monoband models for 144-146 MHz or 430-440 MHz, represent a refinement of VHF and UHF cross-polarized Yagis. They are well-known in Europe as "multi-element quads"—an antenna with aluminum elements, not a wire and fiberglass antenna—which offer excellent gain with a relatively short boom length. X-Quads are a great solution due to their short length and lightweight construction, especially for VHF/UHF satellite systems which require rotation in all compass directions and elevations. Two X-Quad Antennas, one for 144-146 MHz and one for 430-440 MHz, may be mounted at opposite ends of an azimuth-elevation rotator cross-boom for high-performance full duplex Satellite operations. For either or both bands, X-Quad Antennas may instead be used in a stationary mount, as pictured, for all-mode terrestrial operations. In either application, multiple X-Quad Antennas may be stacked vertically and horizontally for additional gain and tighter patterns. The WiMo X-Quad special features, developed specifically for Satellite Amateur Radio include: * Switchable Polarization Plane; horizontal/vertical/right hand circular/left hand circular (remote switching requires optional equipment) * High gain compared to other antenna forms due to the "stacking effect" * Short boom length and compact design * Back-end boom or mid-boom centered mounting to the mast is possible The radiator element is a "stacked quad" multi-element beam, for which linear polarization can be compared to a crossed slotted radiator. However, the advantage of the X-Quad is that it can be optimally used for the desired polarization by simply changing the feed. Compared to a typical cross-polarized Yagi, all directors and reflectors are active in the X-Quad, which enables the compact design. As with cross-polarized Yagis, switching is accomplished on the mono-band X-Quad either by a coaxial relay or with a band specific WiMo Remote Polarization Switch (sold separately). If the remote switch is mounted at the antenna, then only one coax cable and a 4-conductor control cable are required, sold separately. If the Switch is used at the station, then two coaxial cables from the antenna to the station are needed. The WiMo X-Quad Antenna can also be permanently set for circular operation by using an optional, band-specific Phase Line. The secondary elements are arranged diagonally in relation to the square-shaped driven element, which corresponds to the voltage distribution on the radiating element, for the most favorable results. In comparison to Yagi antennas, the X-Quad pattern and tuning are affected less by the influence of external fields, making them ideal for installation under a roof, in an attic space. All elements are electrically conductively connected with boom and cable outer sheath, thus eliminating interference from atmospheric noise. Two Type-N female coaxial connectors, one for each polarization, are mounted in a housing that is waterproof. Boom and elements are made of aluminum, all hardware is stainless steel. Construction and design of the antennas are protected by law (DBGM). The antennas are designed for boom-end mounting; however, alternatively the mast clamp can be mounted in the middle of a non-metallic boom. These antennas have a split boom, so their transport length is only 29.53 in. (75cm) for the 2m antenna and 25.59 in. (65cm) for the 70cm X-Quad. For portable operations they can be stowed away comfortably in the trunk of car and their shipping costs are comparatively low.

WiMo Phase Lines
WiMo Phase Lines are band-specific phasing cable assemblies, either 2 meter or 70 cm, used on the respective WiMo X-Quad Antennas or other cross-polarized Yagi. They combine the vertical and horizontal elements into either Right-Hand or Left-Hand Circular Polarization, dependent upon beam driven element position. Each cable set comes with two male Type-N connector cables, one for each polarization element, combined into one female Type-N connector for the main 50 ohm coaxial feedline to the station. WiMo Phase Lines are used in non-switchable systems.

WiMo TuneRite Tuning Aids
WiMo TuneRite Tuning Aids allow you to make use of the button on your transceiver when using a manual tuner or a manual antenna. The TuneRite simply plugs into the external tuner jack of a compatible radio and allows you to push the button for the automatic tuner to cause the radio to switch to CW or FM and reduce power allowing you to use your manual tuner or adjust your antenna. Once you have achieved your desired match on your antenna system, simply press the tune button again and the radio will return to the mode and power settings it was in before you started tuning. This eases the tuning process and simplifies the steps required to make adjustments with your tuner. Note: When using the TuneRite-KW with a Kenwood TS-480HX, the radio will think that it has a Kenwood tuner connected. Since these tuners do not handle more than 100 watts of power, the TS-480 will reduce it's output power to 100 watts while the TuneRite is connected to the radio. During the tuning process, the power is reduced to 10 watts as usual.

WiMo PicoAPRS-Lite APRS Transceiver Module
PicoAPRS-Lite APRS Transceiver Module - the little brother of the popular PicoAPRS. This is a tiny APRS tracker weighing just 7.2 grams*! Even though the PicoAPRS-Lite was developed with balloon flights with APRS payload (Pico balloons and stratosphere balloons) in mind, it can naturally also be used for many more APRS purposes. Thanks to its small measurements of just 27.8 x 66.9 x 6.3mm this tiny tracker can, for example, be installed nearly invisibly in cars. This allows for APRS usage without annoying wiring in the car or too short antenna cables. You can even carry the tracker around in your pocket! An SMA antenna jack is offered separately since its weight of about 2 grams is an unnecessary extra load for the light Pico balloons. This is also the reason why the tracker is being delivered without a case. Special functions of the PicoAPRS-Lite: - Automatic or manual frequency tuning on request. E.g. automatic for worldwide balloon flights. - In areas without APRS coverage and with automatic frequency tuning the ISS APRS frequency is used to be heard even in these situations. - Temperature and air pressure sensor. The values will be sent as an APRS comment in every position. - As an energy source a small solar cell with buffer capacitor can be used, as well as single-use or rechargeable batteries. - Voltage range ca. 3.2 - 5V. - When using a solar cell the PicoARPS-Lite will stay in battery-saving mode use only about 0.1mA until the buffer capacitor has stored enough charge, then sends a beacon and will go back into battery-saving mode to recharge for another beacon if needed. - Even with just one solar cell which supplies the buffer capacitor with just a tiny amount of current it can operate forever in sunshine! Ideal for a world trip with a balloon. - Even when using batteries the energy-saving mode will be used between beacon transmissions to extend the battery's lifetime. - Micro USB port for settings configuration with a terminal software. - Integrated GPS module with balloon mode up to 80km height, ideal for stratosphere balloons. - Transmission power configurable between 0.5 and 1W. - 7-pole lowpass filter to eliminate unwanted spurious emission. Status LED - Firmware updates via USB possible. Future wishes of users and product improvements can be uploaded later. Beware that this device has no voltage regulation! When operating with a solar panel and buffer capacitor the service voltage will usually drop to zero at night. With sunrise the device will be operational soon again. It's important that the tracker can be used with as little power as possible. A voltage regulator would cause a voltage drop which would be inconvenient during sunrise/sundown. To limit the maximum operating voltage a beacon will automatically be transmitted when reaching about 5V in balloon solar mode to use up stored energy. Doing so the maximum operating voltage won't be exceeded even when the idle solar cell provides too much voltage. *1) Weight without antenna jack, case or any energy source. Suggest accessories to be obtained from other sources: - SMA jack for circuit board mounting, upright, with long thread, for single hole fixing. If the device should be in a case and used with a regular antenna. - Lithium polymer battery 3.6V/800mA, as well as compatible connector cable for an external energy source. Beware, the PicoAPRS-Lite has no voltage regulator for batteries! Never charge batteries via USB! - Small USB charger for 4 LiPo batteries max.
