ACOM 2020S Solid-State 1.8-54 MHz Linear Amplifiers are state-of-the-art 1500W Solid State linear amplifiers that deliver maximum legal power in all modes and operate in all Amateur Radio HF bands from 160 through 6 meters. This amplifier is extremely operator-friendly with a remote console unit (RCU) that features a high-resolution color touch screen. The 2020S amplifier is transceiver-independent, meaning that it is compatible with all transceiver models. With no need for special signals, only ground on transmit and RF drive power, any transceiver may be used. The 2020S monitors the input signal frequency with its built-in frequency counter and automatically switches bands when there is no transceiver frequency interface cable. However, when interfaced with a transceiver with CAT, COM or CI-V capability, the 2020S tracks the transceiver operating frequency and automatically changes bands accordingly. The Acom 2020S supports direct Remote Control via the Internet with an integrated web interface and built-in Ethernet RJ45 LAN port or Wi-Fi adapter. The Acom 2020S amplifier employs two powerful modules in a power splitting/combining technique that has been time-proven in high-power commercial applications to provide sufficient output headroom. The input and output ports are isolated from each other, reducing intermodulation and improving resistance to self-excited oscillation and reliability. A broadband input circuit provides a perfect transceiver load with SWR below 1.2 without re-tuning throughout the entire frequency range from 1.8 to 54 MHz. The two final PA stages use a rugged MRFX1K80HR5 or equivalent LDMOS transistor. The 2020S features built-in intelligence that continuously monitors system health and protection circuits in all modes. Also, the operator can monitor eleven different parameters of amplifier operation. Detailed fault data is stored in the amplifier's memory and shows up to 55 parameters for each of the last 28 hard-fault protection trips. Compact and lightweight construction with a built-in switching-mode power supply that operates within a power mains voltage range of 200-240 VAC, ±10% (180-264 VAC limiting values), with no internal switch over. ACOM 2100 HF + 6 Meter Linear Amplifiers
The ACOM 2100 is a complete and self-contained linear amplifier that covers all Amateur bands from 1.8 through 54 MHz and provides over 1500W PEP or continuous carrier output power, typically at only 40 to 55 watts drive. The 2100 utilizes a single 4CX1000A ceramic and metal radial-beam tetrode vacuum tube with plate dissipation of 1,000 watts. This manually tuned amp features many automatic functions. Tube protection includes permanent monitoring and automatic protection of plate and grid voltages and currents, as well as the exhaust air temperature, essential data that indicates the power tube operating conditions. The 2100 amplifier features virtually silent high-speed break-in CW (QSK). The input bypassing and vacuum antenna relays are virtually silent even in the CW QSK mode; thanks to specially designed mounting hardware. The 2100 is designed to safely withstand up to 400 watts of reflected power and up to 100 milliseconds duration of drive spikes. Additionally, these amplifiers continue to function with "soft" AC mains and will deliver more than half power at only 85 percent of nominal mains voltage. They can withstand voltage drops for up to 10 milliseconds and can tolerate 15 percent mains voltage spikes; especially important on Field Day, during DXpeditions, and at portable operating events where emergency power is relied upon. Be sure to read the SPECIAL Note, below. The True Resistance Indicator (TRI) is a powerful tuning aid that helps the operator to quickly and precisely match the antenna impedance to the optimum tube load impedance. The auto-operate function (when enabled) maintains the amplifier in the OPERATE mode, thus avoiding unnecessary manual operations. Broadband input matching presents a very good load to the transceiver over the entire spectrum of 1.8-54 MHz. Your 2100 will enable you to change between three antennas virtually instantaneously and allow you to use your antennas over wider frequency ranges. All ACOM 2100 amplifier status indications are explained via detailed text displayed on the high brightness OLED display. LED indicators are also provided for Power, Operate Mode, Attenuation-on, Transmit and Selected Antenna output. ACOM 2100 Features and specifications: * Frequency Coverage: 1.8-54 MHz * Power Output: 1,500W PEP, 1,500W continuous carrier; for continuous carrier transmissions longer than 15 minutes the external auxiliary fan must be installed * Intermodulation Distortion: Better than 32dB below PEP rated output * Hum and noise: Better than 40dB below rated output * Harmonic Output Suppression: 1.8-29.7 MHz; 50dB below rated output, 50-54 MHz; 66dB below rated output * Input and Output Impedance: Nominal values: 50 Ohm unbalanced output; Input circuit: broadband, VSWR less than 1.3:1, 1.8-54 MHz (no tuning, no switching); Bypass path: VSWR less than 1.1:1, 1.8-54 MHz continuously * RF Gain: 13.5dB typically, frequency response less than 1dB (40-55 W drive power for 1,500 watts output) * Primary Power: 100-264V (100, 110,120, 200, 210, 220, 230 and 240V nominal taps), 50-60Hz, single phase, 3500VA consumption at rated output * Complies with CE safety and electromagnetic compatibility requirements as well as FCC-regulations * Size: 17.5 x 14.7 x 8.0 in. * Weight 64.6 lbs. * Operating environments: Temperature range 0 to 50 degrees C, Humidity up to 95 percent at 35 C * Altitude: up to 3,000m (10,000ft) above sea level without output deterioration Why not allow yourself to enjoy the finest amplifier? ACOM 1010 HF Linear Amplifiers
ACOM 1010 HF Linear Amplifiers cover all bands from 1.8 through 29.7 MHz. They provide over 700 W PEP output (or 500 W continuous-modes) with less than 60 watts of drive and operate without special transceiver signaling; they need only "ground on TX" and the required drive. ACOM's exclusive True Resistance Indicator (TRI); enables faster antenna changes and use over wider frequency ranges. Also, a built-in antenna selector switch with two outputs is included to provide instant choice of antennas. Antenna matching can be achieved in less than 10 seconds and at a quarter of nominal output power, which results in lower risk of interference to other stations and greater safety to the amplifier components. A single ACOM 4CX800A high-performance ceramic-metal tetrode with plate dissipation of 800 watts is used for maximum efficiency. These amplifiers are self-monitoring. They are designed to safely withstand up to 240 watts of reflected power, up to 100 milliseconds of drive spikes (RF "tails" after a PTT or KEY release), and even operator tuning errors. They are also capable of operating at more than half their designed output at only 75 percent of nominal line voltage. Because they can tolerate deep voltage drops and 15 percent line voltage spikes, they are particularly well-suited for use in portable environments, such as Field Day and DXpeditions. Importantly, a variety of system parameters are continuously monitored and available to the operator to assure safe and efficient amplifier operation. Design of the high-voltage power supply eliminates the danger of turn-on transients affecting sensitive devices connected to the same line (mains) circuit. Moreover, the amplifier can be configured to accommodate any of eight nominal line voltages between 100 and 240 V, 50 or 60 Hz. Please see the SPECIAL Note, below. Penta Labs RF Vacuum Tubes
Penta Laboratories was founded in 1951 and is a world-class manufacturer and distributor of a wide range of vacuum tubes for a variety of industries. Penta's commitment to excellence begins with design and follows each product all the way through distribution. Penta Labs matched vacuum tubes go through rigorous test procedures to enhance performance during their operation. Each Penta Labs vacuum tube is burned in for a minimum of 48 hours dissipating full power with filament, plate and screen voltages that are normally used in amplifier applications. All of this ensures that the various electrical parameters have stabilized and the matching of each vacuum tube will not drift during its lifetime. Penta Labs power tubes are matched within a 5% variation on all parameters. This is a process of eliminating tubes that test with bad values, rejecting those outside limits of design. Each passing vacuum tube is then tested on a fleet of WT-100A original RCA production testers for plate current, screen current and transconductance (gm). We also check for grid current and leakage between elements. When you receive single and matched vacuum tubes from Penta Labs, you can rest assured that you are receiving a product that has been thoroughly tested and will perform at levels unsurpassed in the industry. DX Engineering KD9SV Keying Relay
DX Engineering KD9SV Keying Relay, DXE-SV-KR, is a high speed Solid State interface designed to protect transceiver keying circuits from potential damage by amplifier relays. Transceiver low voltage keying circuits handle only a few milliamperes (mA), but some "modern" amplifier relays require over 150 mA at 12 VDC. High voltage and high current amplifier keying relays were common in amplifiers made between 1950 and 1975. The DXE-SV-KR can safely key almost all DC amplifier relays, including older relays and keying inputs that operate at high voltage, typically -100 VDC or +110 VDC. Inspired by the original KD9SV Keying Relay, the DXE-SV-KR quickly and silently does the work of a 6-pin normally open (N.O.) Double Pole Single Throw (DPST) relay. It provides two completely isolated ground independent PTT Outputs, each capable of handling up to +/- 450VDC at up to 500mA. The DXE-SV-KR optically isolated PTT Input only requires 2mA at 13.8VDC to key, so it is safe for any transceiver's amplifier keying circuit or any other 'ground-on- transmit' PTT keying accessory. Built in a convenient enclosure with RCA phono jacks, the DXE-SV-KR is also QSK capable for keying any amplifier that supports high speed CW keying, typically a Solid State amplifier (or specially equipped tube amplifier) with a high-speed circuit for "Key In" PTT. The DXE-SV-KR may also be used to isolate a straight key or a Solid State electronic keyer connection to any CW key input. It can provide crucial protection and safety on high voltage CW key jacks and circuits common on old tube-type transmitters and transceivers. The DXE-SV-KR Keying Relay's high speed capability also provides relay debouncing, or it can be used as a remote high-voltage DC switch. The DXE-SV-KR operates on 13.8VDC to an input 2.1mm DC connector. A mating 2.1mm plug and wire are included. The DXE-SV-KR features standard RCA phono female connectors for ground-on-transmit Input and Output ports and is compatible with almost every transceiver or transmitter and amplifier combination. RCA phono patch cables are sold separately. The DX Engineering KD9SV Keying Relay is an uncomplicated way to ensure that your sensitive transceiver or electronic keying circuit is isolated and protected. CAUTION: DO NOT connect the DXE-SV-KR to AC voltage relays in antique amplifiers, typically 110VAC. See instructions. Except for AC switching, the DXE-SV-KR replaces the Ameritron ARB-704.
